Sorry it has been a few days since I have posted. The time just seemed to get away from me. Lita is doing well other than trouble sleeping and dealing with fluid retention. It is a good thing that they left the tap in so she can be drained. On Friday they removed about 2 liters and she is ready for it again. Evidently the nurse said that part of the reason for that is that she is eating and drinking more.
This weekend Lita was up and about quite a bit and doing more for herself and playing games with the family. As a matter of fact, she kicked my butt in Scrabble last night. She and my husband made it down to the wire with Lita inching him out by 3 or 4 points thanks to going out first!
For those of us who know Lita well, this is the way she likes it. To be able to make herself a little snack, get things from her room without having to ask, yada yada, gives her a little independence. As we spoke yesterday, I realized that she would probably like to be able to send and read her own emails instead of waiting for me to get home. So we set up an email address where you can correspond directly with her. It is litamattson@yahoo.com. Also, you can continue to add comments to this blog - it is good for everyone to see what we all write and to feel the love.

When I think of you, I can't help but remember how patient you were that day we spent so much time trying to have me understand a credit on the AMEX card. Lita - I had to comment on your scrabble victory because it made me almost spit my coffee all over the computer screen. Just wondering, did your scrabble game have an auto spellcheck? You know me - can't help myself. I guess if you won this is kind of a slam on your sister and her husband as well.

Howdy everyone. This Lita here. Yes, I am doing tghe post tonight. Mike, we do use scrabble dictionaries and a scrabble computer. I am not that good with finding words on my own. So, I am doing well at this time.
ReplyDeleteThe belly taps are vital to my well being and I do like getting the tap about every other day. My appetite has been good. I am eating good meals these days and have really enjoyed getting my taste buds back.

Hey, do you have any idea how hard it is to make words with no vowels? My first four turns I had a total of three vowels! That dang Scrabble computer was no help. No help at all!

I played Super Scrabble with a friend Sunday too. beat her by 10 lousy points because my first several turns had just one vowel each too. Imagine playing with 200 tiles and Quadruple word and letter score. the scores should have been much higher but the tiles were not on my side at all.

Hello every one. I am still doing well. Hoever I just can not seem to stopp producing the dang fluids. I will now start having 4 taps a week. Sunday Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I just cannot go three days over the weekends. I get too uncomfortable. So kids there is really nothing new going on at this time. Except that I am practicing upside down drawing where you do not see features. By turning the cartoon drawering up side up you see shapes and curves rather than facial expressiuon to draw.
